Copthall Avenue balcony

Working from the Original Concept Design by John Roberts Architects and instructed by NAO Landscapes, Urban Street Designs Manufactured the 1100mm high x 34.0m Long Modular Planter System with Integrated Seating, Lighting and Privacy Screen to one end.

The planter was manufactured with a large return top edge to give a more solid panel like look and had a galvanised drainage layer to protect the decking platform it was placed on. The seating areas were formed as laser cut trays that attach to brackets that fixed to the front face of the planter with reinforced plates to prevent any flexing. LED Lighting was installed under the seating for night time aesthetics and the entrance and exit points for the electrics were laser cut into the planter panels at the time of Manufacture, this was important as the protective coating would have been damaged had they been drilled out on site.
